After a well played cup campaign, the next match for our senior first team is the Errington Cup Final against Romford on Wednesday, 8th May 2024.
The match will be played at the Heybridge Swifts stadium, with kick off at 7:45pm.
Romford are bound to have a big following as they build up to their FA Vase final against Great Wakering Rovers at Wembley the following Saturday, 11th May 2024, so come on everybody, get behind our Rovers team and go to our cup final on 8th May and out sing the Romford supporters.
The programme message from Jamie Shaw, the Rovers Manager, will read as follows:
Firstly, I want to congratulate Romford on their amazing achievements this season qualifying for today's Final, the play offs and most impressively the FA Vase final. And we wish them good fortune on Saturday (11th May) at Wembley.
For us at Stanway Rovers, the Errington Cup Final is a little reward for all the hard work that has gone in from all involved at the club since the end of October when I came in. We set out our objectives and aims and all the hard work on and off the pitch has really bought the club together as a family and galvanised everyone.
Our league form since taking over has been everything we could have wished for, having gone from bottom of the league to being in the play-off hunt right till the final week or two. Showing we can compete with the top sides in what is in my opinion the toughest season the Essex Senior League has seen for some time.
Whatever the outcome this evening we are all super proud of the team and we look forward to what the future brings.
Jamie Shaw
