Huge congratulations to our U18 team as they have won the Thurlow Nunn Youth Football League (South).
Our 0:3 away win to what was 2nd placed Little Oakley U18 sees our U18 team seal their position at the top of their league, with 40 points from 14 matches.
This home loss for Little Oakley see them drop from 2nd to third.
With the season consisting of 16 matches:
(current) 2nd placed FC Clacton Y U18 have 25 points from 13 matches. If they win all three of their remaining fixtures, they will accumulate another 9 points, and would finish on 34 points.
(current) 3rd placed Little Oakley U18 now have 24 points from 11 matches. If they win all five of their remaining fixtures, they will accumulate another 15 points, and would finish on 39 points.
Neither team can reach our U18 tally of 40 points, meaning we are the 2024/25 the Champions of the Thurlow Nunn Youth Football League (South).
Our last two matches of the season are both away, to:
Hadleigh United FC U18 TNL on 6th March and
Holland U18 on 20th March.
Our final three targets for our U18 team this season are:
to stretch our run of 14 unbeaten league matches to be a full season of 16 unbeaten league matches.
to stretch our current goal difference of +65 to be as high as possible. Not sure what the current record goal difference is for this league, but it would be fantastic to break that record.
to pick up no injuries
