Kids Eat Free - at Stanway Rovers Football Club: Yes, that's right, we are very pleased to say we are offering children free hot food at our very popular "Scranway Burger Bar" during the 2025 school Easter Holidays. Terms and Conditions: Offer only applies to people who have passed through our turnstiles to view our matches. Offer only applies to hot food provided by our "ScranWay Burger Bar" . Our "ScranWay Burger Bar"  is our fully stocked burger bar, situated beside the pitch, behind the manager's dugouts. Offer does not apply to any other food (crisps, chocolates etc) or any drinks. Offer only applies on both the dates of our two First Team home matches during the 2025 School Easter Holidays: Friday 11th April 2025: Stanway Rovers FC v Halstead Town FC. Although it has come to an end, we are very proud of our first team players, management, support and everyone else who contributed in the outstanding achievement of 25 unbeaten league matches, consisting of 19 wins and six draws . However, unbeaten records do not win league titles, and with the five teams in positions 2 to 6 giving us a very good "run for our money", we will be pushing hard to get back to winning ways in our next match. U18's - 2024-25 League Champions Huge congratulations to our U18 team as they have won the Thurlow Nunn Youth Football League (South). Our 0:3 away win to what was 2nd placed Little Oakley U18 sees our U18 team seal their position at the top of their league, with 40 points from 14 matches. This home loss for Little Oakley see them drop from 2nd to third. With the season consisting of 16 matches: (current) 2nd placed FC Clacton Y U18 have 25 points from 13 matches. If they win all three of their remaining fixtures, they will accumulate another 9 points, and would finish on 34 points. (current) 3rd placed Little Oakley U18 now have 24 points from 11 matches. If they win all five of their remaining fixtures, they will accumulate another 15 points, and would finish on 39 points. Neither team can reach our U18 tally of 40 points, meaning we are the 2024/25 the Champions of the Thurlow Nunn Youth Football League (South). Our last two matches of the season are both away, to: Hadleigh United FC U18 TNL on 6th March and Holland U18 on 20th March. Our final three targets for our U18 team this season are: to stretch our run of 14 unbeaten league matches to be a full season of 16 unbeaten league matches. to stretch our current goal difference of +65 to be as high as possible. Elvis Presley "Graced" us at SRFC from his Graceland home, for a special triple celebration night at our club: Barry's Birthday Bash Fran's Birthday Bash Valentine's Day David Black, who performed as Elvis, treated our full capacity crowd to a double set of sing-a-long songs, featuring many of the absolute Elvis classics plus, because it was Valentine's night, many of the traditional Elvis love songs. David (Elvis) mingled with our crowd during his act (he must have sung to everyone personally over the course of the evening) encouraging singing with him, and dancing on our dance floor. And, being the lovely chap he is, he was available for chats and photos before his act, during the interval and after the final song had been sung. Hall Hire - Price Reductions We are very pleased to announce that the cost to hire our Hawthorn Suite (our events hall) has been reduced. Friday nights: The Friday night reduced prices are now: £120 - for the airconditioned hall, tables, chairs, toilets. This price does not include hire of the bar or availability of our bar staff £45 - for each member of our bar staff 1 x bar staff for 1 to 40 people in your group / party 2 x bar staff for 41 to 100 people in your group / party £20 - for a member of our staff to collect bottles, cans, glasses from your tables so, the hire will cost you the following if you have: £120: just the hall, no bar £120 + £45 + £20 = £185: the hall, bar and staff for 1 to 40 people in your group / party £120 + £45 + £45 + £20 = £230: the hall, bar and staff for 41 to 100 people in your group / party Saturday Nights: There is no change to Saturday night hire, so the price for Saturday night hire remains the same Weekly Day Time Hire: £25 per hour - for the airconditioned hall, tables, chairs, toilets.
